I'm calling about DEA's temporary scheduling notice involving SR-17018, also referred to as 5,6-dichloro desmethylchlorphine. I'm asking my representative, my senators, the DEA and the FDA and HHS to urge DEA and HHS to delay or narrow emergency scheduling of SR-17018 specifically, separate it from other compounds, publish compound-specific evidence, and preserve lawful research access. This is personal for me — my own recovery is affected by whether compounds like this can be studied through lawful medical channels. People are reporting that SR-17018 may have important opioid-withdrawal applications, and it should be studied before being placed into Schedule I. Thank you for your time.
